If you are visiting in the Colbert or Athens community, or if you are new to the area, we extend a warm invitation to visit our church. Our Sunday morning includes:
- Adult Bible study and children’s Sunday school at 10 a.m. (Family Life Center)
- Sunday worship service at 11 a.m. (sanctuary)
- Children’s Church (children depart from sanctuary following morning prayer and offertory at 11:15)
Welcome Pastor Michele!
We give a warm welcome to Pastor Michele May, our new pastor at Colbert UMC beginning on July 5. We are so fortunate to have a long-time member of our community serving at our church. She has been a Deacon in Full Connection for the last 14 years and has served in children, youth, and family ministry, discipleship ministry, and chaplaincy. For the last five years, she has served as pastor of several congregations in Hartwell, Madison, and Canon. Read more about Pastor Michele and her ministry.
PIANIST JOB ANNOUNCEMENT:
Colbert UMC seeks a PAID PIANIST for Sunday morning services at 11 a.m. The pianist should be familiar with traditional hymns, as well as contemporary favorites. We are looking for a team player willing to work with the pastor and the song leader on hymn selections. Playing music for special holiday services also will be required.
