Welcome to Colbert!

As the new pastor at Colbert UMC, I can let you in on a little secret: the people at Colbert UMC are amazing. They love God, seek to serve others, and are honestly looking to improve themselves by following the life and teachings of our savior, Jesus Christ. As a United Methodist pastor I have the benefit of meeting a number of people at many churches, and yet somehow I am still surprised every time I meet another wonderful congregation. Too often churches get a bad name when disputes, back biting, unfriendliness, and a general habit of being difficult become a defining part of their culture. That is not what I have found here. We aren’t perfect–if we were, we wouldn’t need church. But we are committed to becoming better people, better Christians, year by year. I invite you to join us on our journey together, as we support, pray for, and love one another towards following the way of Christ.

Oh, yeah, and if you are looking for some items to help your Pokemon Go game, we’ve got those, too. 🙂

In His service,

Megan Hallford Gomez
