Pianist (part-time): Colbert United Methodist Church is seeking a part time pianist to play on Sunday mornings from 9:30 am through the 11:00 service. Proficiency in piano a must, with sight reading ability and ability to use chord charts preferred. Availability for special seasonal worship services, including Christmas Eve and Easter required. Responsibilities include preparing and playing service music and availability to play for choir rehearsal with an estimated 3.5 contact hours per week. Candidates must exhibit faith in Jesus Christ, witnessing this faith to others in both word and deed. Flexibility, a willingness to play a variety of styles, and the ability to work well with others desired. Youth Director (part-time): Colbert United Methodist Church is seeking a part-time youth director to plan and lead Sunday night meetings, special events, and service projects for middle schoolers and high schoolers. The youth director should live out a mature, biblically based faith with a passion for teaching and faith formation. Participation in church life and Sunday morning worship expected. A knowledge of Methodist theology, and ability to work with others a must. Understanding and effectively communicating through social media with parents, children, and the community a must.
